Artist Biography:
"I am a Houston born and based professional lyrical abstract painter that combines the world of dance and paint. I feel honored to take every opportunity to stand with empathy and curiosity in the place of human struggles and triumphs with my practice, in and beyond studio walls. I hold a classical fine art training through my bachelors degree of fine arts from Baylor University and a terminal master's degree in fine arts through the University of Kansas Including an undergraduate study abroad program in Florence, Italy. Launching my professional career in New York City I worked as an artist and developed healing informed art workshops that I facilitated in New York and several countries abroad. I dove deeper into abstraction learning from New York based artist Emanuele Cacciatore, studying in a artist group founded by Mako Fujimora, and working closely with international stylist and designer Philippa Brathwaite for 7 years before returning to Houston with knowledge and vision that I have only continued to cultivate further in Houston.
The connection art brings to the maker and the community experiencing art to the matters of the heart challenges me to keep growing and exploring what doors of beauty, unity, and healing we can open together and what I can uncover in my own personal practice."
